2009 Fall Season Employment

September to November

 

Excel Photo Inc. is a professional photo finishing lab that produces school portraits and youth sports photo packages, that include a variety of speciality photo products. The fall production season will require temporary expansion of our work force. During this time, the emphasis will be on the manufacturing of portrait packages, student body ID cards, office record photos and CD images for yearbooks. In addition, Excel Photo produces sports portraits and products such as memory mates, trading cards, magazine covers, photo magnets, buttons, posters and plaques for high school sports and youth sport leagues.

 

Excel Photo will be hiring approximately 15-20 people for various jobs. These jobs will include: data entry, image editing, digital image processing, and assembly of portrait packages and specialty photo products.

 

Basic requirements include that all applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, and must be 18 years of age. An essential function of each job at Excel Photo is the ability of all applicants to lift up to 35 pounds.

 

The entry level wage is $8.40 per hour. The starting wage may vary depending on the digital imaging, computer operation, and data entry skills required for each position.

 

The lab will be open from 6:00AM to 6:00PM Monday through Friday. During this time period flexible working hours will be scheduled for FT and PT positions.

 

During the fall season, employees may be required to work 40-45 hours per week. Part-time positions for morning and afternoon shifts will be available. The work week will include some Saturday shifts when necessary. Saturday shifts will be four to six hours depending on the workload for that week. Overtime will be paid on time accrued over 40 hours per week. Excel Photo provides two 10 minute paid breaks, and one 30 minute unpaid lunch break, per day. Pay periods are bi-weekly with checks distributed every other Wednesday.

 

Due to the seasonality of this business, Excel Photo can only offer full-time or part-time seasonal employment from September through November. Attendance is critical during this period of time. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.

 

Upon completion of the fall season, a few full-time positions may be available. Your skill set, performance, and attendance will be taken into consideration when filling these positions.
